Taft Garden & Nature Preserve Art in Nature Residency
In October 2024 I spent a month as a resident in the Protea Studio. Having designed the promotional materials for the Residency since it began in 2021, I used the time at Taft to further explore the visual vocubulary used in the promotions. These includes shapes and photographic impressions of the garden’s color and light. Beginning with pressing and photographing the leaves and flowers, I explored different “floral arrangements” in the form of collages and Risographic prints. Additionally, the animals that were my companions during my time in the garden where captured in drawings.
